Tour Overview

A honeymoon safari can still be active and wildlife-focused. This journey moves between Tarangire, the Serengeti, the Ngorongoro highlands, the crater and Lake Manyara, giving you a series of different settings over seven days. Time in the vehicle is balanced with evenings at lodges and camps where the pace becomes quieter.

The 7-day private safari follows Tarangire National Park, Serengeti National Park and Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Serengeti wildlife Tanzania safari is the subject of this itinerary, with clear daily stops, named accommodation and prices that depend on travel dates and group size. You can use the daily outline to see where you travel, what wildlife areas you enter and how the overnight arrangements fit together.

For 7-Day Honeymoon Mid-Range Tarangire Crater Serengeti, the stops follow the published programme, including an initial stay at Arusha Planet Lodge. Weather, park access and wildlife movement may change the exact driving route.

Day by Day Itinerary

Day 1

Arrive in Arusha and prepare for safari

On arrival in Arusha, meet your safari guide and settle into the starting accommodation. Today concentrates on a different part of the route, with the journey arranged around the main destination. Arusha is the usual starting point for the northern safari circuit, with busy streets, established hotels and views towards Mount Meru when conditions are clear. The first day gives you a chance to adjust after a flight, meet your guide and check arrangements before the main wildlife outings.

The overnight stop is Arusha Planet Lodge. Once you have reached the overnight property, you can settle in and prepare for the next change of scenery.

Main Destination: Arusha Activities: Airport or lodge transfer Meals: At own expense Accommodation options: Arusha Planet Lodge
Day 2

Explore Tarangire National Park

Continue from Arusha towards Tarangire National Park, leaving time for the day’s scheduled visits. The scenery changes again as you reach this stop on the northern Tanzania circuit. Elephants often draw attention here, though giraffe, zebra, buffalo and a wide variety of birds can also be encountered. Game viewing is most rewarding when the driver takes time to check dry river beds, pools and shaded areas rather than travelling quickly between sightings.

The overnight stop is Eileen's Trees Inn. The next stage may use different roads and habitats, so a brief conversation with your guide is worthwhile.

Main Destination: Tarangire National Park Activities: Guided game drive and road transfer Meals: Breakfast, lunch and dinner Accommodation options: Eileen’s Trees Inn
Day 3

Explore Serengeti National Park

Continue from Tarangire National Park towards Serengeti National Park, leaving time for the day’s scheduled visits. This day adds a distinct landscape to the trip and gives you another setting for guided exploration. Patient time around kopjes and drainage lines can be useful for spotting predators, while the wider grassland gives good views of moving herds. Long views across the plains contrast with rocky outcrops and isolated trees where birds and mammals may gather.

The overnight stop is Embalakai Serengeti Camp. After the day’s activities, return to your lodge and check arrangements for tomorrow.

Main Destination: Serengeti National Park Activities: Guided game drive and road transfer Meals: Breakfast, lunch and dinner Accommodation options: Embalakai Serengeti Camp
Day 4

Continue exploring Serengeti National Park

Continue from Serengeti National Park towards Serengeti National Park, leaving time for the day’s scheduled visits. Your guide will use the available hours to balance travel, stops and the principal activity. Long views across the plains contrast with rocky outcrops and isolated trees where birds and mammals may gather. Your guide can adjust the order of drives according to local conditions, track reports and the distance between wildlife areas.

The overnight stop is Embalakai Serengeti Camp. Once you have reached the overnight property, you can settle in and prepare for the next change of scenery.

Main Destination: Serengeti National Park Activities: Guided game drive and road transfer Meals: Breakfast, lunch and dinner Accommodation options: Embalakai Serengeti Camp
Day 5

Explore Ngorongoro Conservation Area

Continue from Serengeti National Park towards Ngorongoro Conservation Area, leaving time for the day’s scheduled visits. The schedule keeps this destination as the centre of the day rather than making it a brief roadside visit. Road conditions and visibility vary, so let the guide set a sensible transfer pace and allow time for comfort stops. The Ngorongoro highlands contain cooler forest, pastoral landscapes and viewpoints that contrast with the hotter plains below.

The overnight stop is Ang'ata Ngorongoro Camp. The next stage may use different roads and habitats, so a brief conversation with your guide is worthwhile.

Main Destination: Ngorongoro Conservation Area Activities: Guided game drive and road transfer Meals: Breakfast, lunch and dinner Accommodation options: Ang’ata Ngorongoro Camp
Day 6

Explore Ngorongoro Crater

Continue from Ngorongoro Conservation Area towards Ngorongoro Crater, leaving time for the day’s scheduled visits. The plan for this stage is to spend enough time in the main area to appreciate its character. The Ngorongoro Crater is a volcanic caldera with grassland, woodland, marsh and a soda lake contained within steep highland walls. Buffalo, zebra, wildebeest, hyena and many other animals live or move across the crater floor. Black rhino sightings remain possible but uncommon.

The overnight stop is Eileen's Trees Inn. After the day’s activities, return to your lodge and check arrangements for tomorrow.

Main Destination: Ngorongoro Crater Activities: Guided game drive and road transfer Meals: Breakfast, lunch and dinner Accommodation options: Eileen’s Trees Inn
Day 7

Final Lake Manyara National Park visit and onward transfer

This is the closing day of the route. Enjoy the final planned outing before your guide arranges the onward transfer. Today concentrates on a different part of the route, with the journey arranged around the main destination. Baboons, blue monkeys, elephants and waterbirds are among the animals visitors may encounter in its varied habitats. A drive that moves slowly through the groundwater forest can reveal wildlife that is easy to miss when travelling quickly.

There is no accommodation booked for tonight because the itinerary finishes today.
