Detailed Itinerary

Your safari adventure begins with an early morning pickup from your accommodation in Arusha between 6:00 AM and 6:45 AM . The journey takes you through the scenic Great Rift Valley and the lush Ngorongoro Highlands, with a brief stop at Mto wa Mbu to experience local culture and sample fresh produce .

After a picnic lunch en route, you'll arrive at Naabi Hill Gate—the gateway to the legendary Serengeti National Park . Your first afternoon game drive across the endless plains offers opportunities to spot lions, elephants, giraffes, zebras, buffaloes, wildebeests, and other iconic African wildlife .

As the sun sets over the Serengeti, you'll head to your accommodation where dinner awaits beneath the African sky .

Wake early for a spectacular sunrise game drive—the best time to witness predators in action and wildlife at its most active . After returning to camp for breakfast, you'll set out for a full day exploring the vast Serengeti ecosystem.

After an early breakfast, you'll depart Serengeti and travel toward the magnificent Ngorongoro Crater. Descend approximately 600 meters into this UNESCO World Heritage Site, often referred to as "Africa's Eden" .

Enjoy a memorable game drive across the crater floor, home to one of Africa's highest concentrations of wildlife. The crater supports approximately 30,000 animals including black rhinos, lions, elephants, buffaloes, zebras, hippos, hyenas, and thousands of flamingos . With a little luck, you'll complete your Big Five sightings before enjoying a scenic picnic lunch inside the crater .

In the afternoon, ascend the crater walls and begin your return journey to Arusha, arriving between 5:30 PM and 6:30 PM .

The Serengeti enjoys a mild climate year-round. Daytime temperatures typically range from 15°C to 27°C (59°F to 81°F), while nighttime temperatures can drop to approximately 5°C (41°F) in the parks . Visitors should pack neutral-colored clothing (white, beige, green) and bring a warm sweater, socks, and jacket for cool mornings and evenings .

The crater rim sits at high altitude, resulting in cooler temperatures. Mornings can be quite chilly, with temperatures often below 10°C (50°F). Layers are recommended for early morning game drives.
